for the one who’s “holding everything together”
You were never meant to carry this all alone.
The uncertainty, grief, constant advocacy, late night researching, scheduling demands, decision-making, medication management, decoding MyChart clinical notes, never-ending calls with insurance companies…I can go on and on, but I have to stop somewhere. None of this is meant for one person to carry and yet somehow you’re still here, holding everything together because it doesn’t feel like there’s any other choice. Some days you’ve got it, on others you’re barely above water before the next wave crashes down on you. If you’ve ever been told “you make my job so easy” by a medical professional, you deserve to be here.
